What ELSE are you listening to now?

On the long drive yesterday of course I listened to a lot of Phish. But on the last leg I also listened to the Back Brandenburg concerti, and how similar the overall structures were at times to a rather jazzy jam out of Bowie from 12/3/97 that I had heard. Maybe the road noise and such were playing games with my perceptions, but at times I see many similarities between Phish at thier best and the great classics.

R.I.P Vic

^ Didn’t he pass away a few years ago?

Certain mp3s in the rotation lately:

-Meatloaf (or is it Meat Loaf?): I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That) - Love the part where the chick sings at the end.
-Cee Lo Green - Bright Lights, Bigger City - Good tune off his new album
-Lady GaGa - Born This Way - Great dance tune…I can’t help it…it pumps me up.
-The Smiths - How Soon is Now - Strange song…normally not my thing but I dig the weird guitar sound throughout.
-David Guetta ft. Kelly Rowland - When Love Takes Over - Kind of a dance tune but Rowland’s voice is gorgeous
-Bob Marley - Three Little Birds - For emergencies when I need Bob to tell me that everything will be alright.

sorry, but

i really hope you’re referring to the epic 13 minute opus.

I think Steve-O just came out.

Wow, piper hating on Meatloaf? It’s a frickin epic! And actually it’s more of a 12-minute opus, but yes.

After all the Madonna, ABBA, and Lady GaGa that I’ve mentioned here, it’s Meatloaf that turns me gay? Wow.

Bat Out of Hell is good. :silent:
