wordsworth, i’ve pretty much had it on loop for the last week that I’ve spent in the library at University.
In turn I shall commend you on the broken social scene album, they toured here not too long ago but couldn’t afford the tickets.
It’s a tough call between those two and Peoples Instinctive Travels I think…
If I had to choose a 10 song tracklist it’d go…
oh my god (MM)
award tour (MM)
electric relaxation (MM)
youthful expression (PIT…)
ham & eggs (PIT…)
buggin out (LET)
scenario (LET)
check the rhime (LET)
what? (LET)
10th would just be a random one on shuffle from all 3 albums.
… I might actually make that into a tribe mix album come to think of it.
I just bought the new Black Crowes album “Warpaint” off of iTunes last night. It’s real chill…there are some up-tempo songs on there but all-in-all it’s a really awesome, mellow album. Some people on itunes likened it to “Exile on Main St.” and the more I listen to it, the more I can see the similarities. I put it on, rolled me up something good…put it on and I’d suggest y’all pick it up.
The Felice Brothers. I found this band by accident and was blown away by how much the lead singer sounds JUST LIKE a young Bob Dylan. I’m big fan of anything folky and americana so it was right up my alley but I’m just mezmerized by how much this cat sounds like dylan!!! …listen to them and tell me what you think. They’re coming here to Norfolk soon to play at this little dive bar a friend of mine owns and I’m gonna go see them…
^Did I ever tell you guys I was totally hammin’ it up with Cha-Li Tuna by the side of the stage at the Galactic show with him in Minneapolis??
It was pretty cool. Totally humble and cool guy. I put my hand up against his to compare because I was rolling pretty hard and his insanely long and curly fingers were creepin’ me out. All of his fingers were seriously three to four inches longer than mine.
