Any of you guys into Yes? There’s a great performance of the Tales from Topographic Oceans album here: http://www.bigozine2.com/archive/ARrarities08/ARyesysongs.html
I’m downloading it now, so I haven’t heard it yet, but I’ve heard the show & it’s awesome.
Doesn’t matter to me… I didn’t expect anything in return. Surprise me
Glenn, did you ever listen to the Jim James solo show from the Church at SXSW?
I’m interested in hearing your thoughts on it, if you’re interested in listening.
^that church is a crazy good venue! I saw Jandek last year there and it was incredible. The music wasn’t all that, but the church is awesome!

this is hittin’ the spot.
speaking of underestimated albums…

this is just one of those albums where i just want to learn all of these songs and play them all right now.

Wonderous Stories
Awaken
Got me a ticket to the Boston Yes concert this summer. I'm immersing myself in Yes right now, and I'm not even sure I can help it.

I’m not sure what the story is behind this disc (my buddy put a bunch of Herbie albums on my Ipod so I know nothing about them) but it sounds pretty fun so far.

^
I listened to that album the first night I ever dropped LSD.
We had a minor freak-out because we played SS&P directly afterwards and I wasn’t aware of the “CWTAE” teases (I was still a relative newb) during “Mike’s Song.”
Good times.

this is some goodness…
He definitely looks like a “dirt farmer.”
Whatever that means.
