afternoon crunchiness at work
this a great album to listen to for any occasion. mellow and upbeat at the same time.

i’m glad somebody besides me likes randy newman
Just got this lil bonus tracks CD for about $5 online. Not too shabby. Some good tunes on there but I can see why some were left off of Bar 17.

this album fucking smokes

I’ve been dusting off some old favorites here…

A GREAT live album, especially with them backed with an orchestra which just seems right. I normally don’t care about the silly Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but if there’s a band being ignored, it’s these guys. Every album they have takes you on a journey (without leaving your chair!!)

This is “Sea Change” by Beck. I don’t even like Beck that much but this album is unlike I’ve ever heard him do. Kind of slow and moody but really great stuff. I only got this because I borrowed a copy from the library for free.

i love the tune 18 steps. i remember hearing him play it in cincy and being pretty moved by it.

For the surprise find of the year for me, I discovered this little gem of a song. It’s a FANTASTIC song that rocks HARD and even more surprising that it’s done by Kiki Dee who I only know from that silly song she did with Elton John. There’s a pretty scorching live cover of this tune from Heart as well.

I like Simon when he was with Garfunkel a little more, but I’ll be damned if this isn’t a great album.

The ride home from work was extraordinarily long tonight because there are already tons of people at the shore for the long weekend ahead, and my normal route home was clogged.
So I decided not to fight it, took some back roads, and slipped Frank confidnetly into my player:

Needless to say, I wished my ride home were even longer.
::amen::
This album has been stolen from me 3 1/2 times, so now I only have disc 2, but who cares? All the best songs are on the second half.
