What ELSE are you listening to now?

I’ve been just collecting some mp3s of old songs that I haven’t heard in ages. Like I got some nice 7min of Born to Be Alive. Even better was me hearing ABC’s “When Smokey Sings” which I haven’t heard in at least 15 years…and it’s really quite good. Just makes me smile for some reason.

Panda Bear - Person Pitch

This is my favorite song right now!

YouTube - THE DUKE SPIRIT - THE STEP AND THE WALK

the second track on this, “The Saint” might be a top-ten sickest thing ever.

immortal technique.

This guy is sick. He’s a hip hop artist from Somalia. He sings (mostly) in English though.

Amazing show. The Particle song Elevator was REDICULOUS!!!

i’ve listened to that show about 5x since it’s been up on archive. whole show is REDIC!!!

Elliot Smith!

Over the weekend I was in my friends car listening to this album, and I was loving it right away. There is something dreamlike about it and now that I’m growing out of this jam shit, this is a nice way to go. In the real world, you need a more practical musical escape, whatever that means

my playlist for this morning (fuck you, work!)

i’ve been in a bizarre musical mood.

The band never released thing on a CD but I nabbed it off a torrent. It’s SWEEEEEET…possibly the best versions of all these songs were all on this tour.

Has anyone listened to Waits’ Rain Dogs, Clash’s London Calling and Elvis’ self-titled album in a row?

One would think heads could explode.

that’d be a fun experiment, though i’d have to reverse the order of influence.

Elvis -> Clash -> Waits

That reminds me when I saw two days of Phish in Columbus then saw Iron Maiden in Michigan the very next day. Talk about a complete contrast of shows and fans. I don’t think it’s a reach to say that I was the only guy there “representin” with a Phish shirt.

After 3 nights of Phish at Deer Creek and The Dead back home two days later…

Radiohead the next night was weeeeeeeeeird.

Radiohead is always weird.
