What ELSE are you listening to now?

I need some really good new music recommendations. For some reason, every time I turn on my iPod, it’s like I’m disappointed and I end up getting all the way to the end (80gb) and I say to myself… “that’s it…?”

the new Wolf Parade album is pretty good (At Mount Zoomer), i recommend it.

this is been a Ween dominated week. i don’t think i’ve listened to much else…aside from a little Bowie here and a little Pixies there.

^ And a little CCR there…down on the corner…

Can’t say I like the whole album, but it’s my soft spot for Swedish Bitpop and does have a few really good tracks.

^ That blows my American mind.

Swedish Bitpop?

This is the only album I have heard by these guys… and I gotta say I am not really a fan. Of the album that is… Avett Bros are good stuff.

Currently listening to:

that avett’s brothers album is up and down. the opening 3 tracks put me in a great mood. ‘mignonette’ is the apex of their studio work thusfar.

Ween, La Cucaracha. what can i say? it’s genius. it’s horrible. it’s fantastic. one track makes me kinda cry a little. not as mind-blowing as say, The Mollusk, but a solid, listenable album from the bros.

The Raconteurs, Consolers of the Lonely. This is one of the best albums i’ve ever heard, period. if you enjoy music, purchace this. Jack hits it out of the park once again.

John Scofield Quartet Live at the Heineken Jazz Festival in Rotterdam.

Nice

Yep. It’s really not my kind of thing usually but it was played at a party in Sweden I was at so I like it because of that mostly, a couple of them are pretty catchy too. I think you either get it or you hate it. You can hear two of the ones I like on their myspace. ‘World Welcomes Fame’ and ‘Sponsored by Destiny’. I’d listen to World Welcomes Fame first. Try not to judge them too quickly. http://www.myspace.com/slagsmalsklubben
