I’m only on “Bug” right now and so far it hasn’t been that bad.
Actually the “Jibboo” and "Taste"s were pretty good.

Actually the “Jibboo” and "Taste"s were pretty good.
But d00d, Brian and Robert followed up by a killer Jennifer Schmances?
No actuallyit looks pretty blah.
The “transition” into Meatstick is flawless. :

Would you equate it to the transition from Buster to the sheep in your avatar- black and white, but a little choppy? Because I could watch that all day.
My lone trip to the Rocks night 1. Got that Wedge i’d been waiting for fer 2 years.

This show kicks some serious ass. The end of set 1 and the the beginning of set 2 have some of the tightest playing in any show from '99 on. Great Moma, Maze, Stash and Ghost!! Great energy during YEM as well.

Set I: You Enjoy Myself, Clone, Roggae, Drifting, Blue Skies, The Moma Dance, Final Flight, Maze
Set II: Stash, Ghost -> Low Rider Jam -> Makisupa Policeman -> Ya Mar, Guyute, Waves > Prince Caspian -> Frankenstein > Golgi Apparatus

Show Notes: For the first time since November 18, 1989, Phish opened with YEM (albeit preceded by a "Charge!" tease from Trey). The YEM vocal jam included Trey singing pieces Clone. Phish subsequently debuted Clone, as well as three other songs previously only played by various band member side projects: Drifting, Blue Skies, and Final Flight. Stash included a Foam tease. The lyrics to Makiupa referenced the fire at the band's hotel in Cincinnati a week earlier. Trey expanded Page's nickname to "Leo Kottke" in Ya Mar. Ya Mar also included a Stash tease. Caspian was unfinished. Golgi included a Frankenstein tease.
When you say the “end of set 1” are you including “Blue Skies?”
I like that song.
Mainly the Moma Dance and Maze…both Stellar.
Blue Skies is OK too I suppose.

2: Wolfman’s Brother-> Magilla, David Bowie^, Wading in the Velvet Sea, Theme From the Bottom#+-> Funky Bitch#, Slave to the Traffic Light
E: Loving Cup
*At the end, Trey welcomes the beginning of the U.S. Summer Tour after time spent in Europe, mockingly chanting “USA! USA! USA!” He then introduced the new songs to the American crowd. ^With “Birdland” (Weather Report) tease during high-hat intro. #With Leroi Moore of Dave Matthews Band on sax. +With Multi-Instrument Jam (Leroi with 2 saxes, Trey with 3 guitars and Fish’s cymbals (running around like a madman on stage), and Mike with 2 basses. Meanwhile Fish was playing with multiple (somewhere between 6 and 8) drum sticks while Page was laying on his keyboards trying to play as many as he could and banging on them like a madman.).
Mmmmmmmmmm…sonic chaos.
There was a beautiful double rainbow in the sky just before they took the stage that night. A sign of wonderful things to come!
Rockin’ this one today at work. One of the best setlists of fall '97 imo, and a pretty decent show overall.
11-14-97 West Valley E Center, West Valley, UT

2: Wolfman’s Brother-> Piper-> Twist, Space Jam^, Slave to the Traffic Light

*Unfinished. **Dedicated to Paul Languedoc. #“Marco Esquandolas” part was whistled. ^Cool funky jam with lots of Trey solos.
Interesting that this maze doesn’t have a typical ending. Don’t hear that often.
As soon as it sounds like they’re going to start the ending vocals, the song fades away into FEFY

My brother was on that tour and doesn’t remember much from it.
I like the last night, despite the technical problems.
a
7.5 and 7.6 are INCREDIBLY sloppy shows if I remember right. Brutal Reba on one of those nights.
Yeah, 07-02 is the best of that run.
a
7.1 is good too
