Jamming to 12/30/99. Listening to Corrina Corrina, limb by limb followed by Chief Jim Billy. What a funny dude. Che Hun Tae Mao all!!!
^
What’d you think of the “Light Up or Leave Me Alone?”
That jam is off the hook, yo.
Big Country jam! ;D
I still don’t get what that means!
At the show when they busted into a part of the jam that reminded me and Kenny of the song In aBig Country by the band Big Country! i’m gonna listen to it now to find the minute/second it hits!
It’s Trey(his guitar sounds like the bagpipes from Big Country) starting at about 6:06 and gets more pronouned at about 6:45 and just keeps building from there and dies down at about 9:25.
That’s my favorite part of the jam, 6:00-9:00! But I haven’t heard what you’re referring to, so that’s probably why I didn’t get it.
I’m listening to a plethora of live Led Zeppelin.
That’s right. A f*ck!n’ plethora.
Right now, it’s 3-03-1969, which I’ve got two of. The BBC Sessions release has three tracks from it, and then I’ve “downloaded” a ‘bootleg’ of the same show, and only two of the tunes overlap. One of the songs from the “‘Boot’” ‘Leg’ [pronounced: boot’-leg] is called “Sunshine Woman”, and it’s not been released … weird that they’d not include this track on the official release.
It isn’t the greatest thing ever, but you know. Led Zep is Led Zep. It’s not any worse than those other three or four blues tunes on there that they seem to have made up on the spot by just cramming together bits of actual olde blues tunes.
While I’ve typed this post, my player has moved on, and it’s the Led Zep show from last month, where they first tuned down a whole step, and then promptly killed.
Long ago I downloaded that song and another as yet unreleased called “Sugar Mama.” I didn’t know “Sunshine Woman” was from the BBC… huh. I’ll have to find these on my data discs and listen, but I recall both tunes sounding like they were recorded from a shitty acetate.
Been listening to the Cinci Zoo in '93 a lot lately.

I finished Quad. last night and started up YEM on the way to work this morning. I have not heard this YEM in quite a while, and am pleasantly surprised that very little of this monstrosity is meandering drivel. Good job!
^Love that Quadrophenia! Only just heard it for the first time recently, and was really into it.
Currently listening to Led Zeppelin’s final show w/John Bonham, 7/07/1980.

BWAHA!
Save some for me.
Aint much i can do when i’m passed out. Just don’t buffalo bill me!
It’s been quite some time since I listened to a show from start-to-finish.
I may get back in the habit of doing that. I may actually pick a tour and start from the beginning.
I’ll either choose Summer '93, Summer '97, Fall '98, Summer '99, or Summer '00.
On second thought, maybe I’ll start from the earliest-to-most-recent with Halloween shows, NYE, festivals, etc.
Hmmmmm.
