Rockin 7/17/98 at the gorge right now. Makisupa>Divided opener, and a sick 25 minute 2001 to kick off the second set.

I curse the fact that this show happened within a hundred miles of my house but I had no clue. Stupid, stupid, stupid. If I had a time machine and could do only one thing with it, I would go find myself as a 14 year old and introduce me to Phish so that by the time my parents cut me loose, I’d have known what to do with my freedom.

Anyone else think that My Soul is pretty boring?

I have never heard anyone say anything good about My Soul. Honestly, I do not get all the negativity. OK… its four white suburbanites writing a blues tune, but I do not think it is that bad. Maybe it is because I only hear it occasionally, but I do enjoy it.

Dunno. Weirdly enough I read that earlier today in the Phish Companion, available at Amazon.com or your favorite local book retailer. (I think it was some old blues song, though)

Oh man I love 12/31/95. As far as musicianship goes, I think that is one of the best.

I LOVE the Forbin->Shine->Mockingbird. Such hilarity.

‘My Soul’ is a cover. Unless the people who made the Phish Companion left the error in the second edition of it.
And I love Phish from any era, really, I just prefer the crazy jams. I remember when I borrowed ‘Junta’ from my ex for the first time two years ago. It still blows my mind that Trey could write that kind of stuff so early.

Didn’t see this thread before the other one. Oops. Anyhoo right now i am listening to 10-27-95 Kalamazoo. Lots of Beat it teases in this show as it was just before Halloween and the rumor was Thriller in 95. When i was there i heard the teases in Possum but there are tons in the Bowie i never caught! Probably the best Poor Heart i saw too!

12-31-98… I love the 1999 and Auld Lang Syne teases in Runaway Jim, it reminds the listener of what a crazy show this is.
