Fishman”; with vacuum solo. **Trey talks of attempting to set the world record for the largest number of people doing a single dance simultaneously with The Meatstick Dance in Oswego; Trey, Mike and Sofi Dillof teach the dance. #Unfinished. ^Trey waves to Sam Holloway in the front row; finally shakes his hand and gives him his guitar pick. ^^With glowrings.

That first set looks mighty tasty.

yeah this is my first listen of the show, decent so far, farmhouse actually had a pretty good jam at the end, some nice clav work by page on the sloth, ghost was kinda meh, which is odd, punch was a good opener, but the energy seemed a tad weak

we’lll see how it goes

4-23-94 at the fox in atlanta. good versions of both stash and antelope

I forgot how much of a monster this Wolfman’s is!

*Trey asks Chris [Kuroda] to turn the stage lights off; band jams in darkness to the stars.

great show!
it really captures the Summer '97 vibe nicely.
a

Totally. That first set has so much damn funk, even the Theme is knee deep in it. The Ghost, Wolfman’s, Divided, and Melt are all very noteworthy. And the second set and Hood are as definitive of the times as you can get. Great show, very underrated and the tape is immaculate as far as audience recordings go.

Just threw on that show. This Ghost just brings the funk like only a '97 Ghost can bring. The Theme isn’t as memorable as I always thought it was, but still what a great opener. I really can’t get over how good this recording is. I really don’t know if I’ve ever heard a better audience recording. Are there many on par with this?

Trey is just making sweet black love to his guitar at about 8 minutes into this Ghost.

I’ll be back with more if the need strikes.

This was a random choice. I have a pretty good recording though so far through Maze.

You most likely have this source “Audio Technica 822>Sony D8> CD-R>EAC>Monkey’s Audio > .wav > .shn >

The AKG source is impossible to track down…
Anyhow, i’m cranking this wonderful sounding AUD today

a

i’ve been listening to a show while devliering.

i listened ton the first set last night and i’m about to throw on set 2 for tonight’s shift. I haven’t listened to a Phish show in so long and i’ve heard this one before so i know its a RAGER!!!

one of you all sent it to me a while back, i can’t recall the date but its from 94 in Patterson, NY at a place called Big Birch i think.

the first set starts with Buried Alive>Poor Heart>Sample In A Jar and has a great Fee, Its Ice, DWD, Didn’t Know > SOAM

Anyway, this should get an official release because the quality is sub-par and its a hell of a show. I remember from the last time i listened that the second set has a Wilson played to the tune of Cavern and a Slave so good that in the next song that i think is Suzy Gburg Trey is still playing Slave solos during the jams.

Love, love, love the Reba.

Historical purposes aside, I love this show. Particularly the “First Tube” opener, the jam in “Bathtub Gin,” and the funky-but-otherwise-standard “2001.”

Show date is not correct, actually this was released in June of 1987. It was a demo recording shopped around to Burlington bars, in hopes of scoring gigs. Part of this were proper studio recordings included on Junta (and omitted here) The rest were undated live tracks: Wilson, Alumni Blues, Lizards, The Sloth, and a STUDIO version of Mikes > H2 > Weekapaug, that is a Junta outtake.
Very rare, and very cool.
