What show are you listening to right now?

Seriously?

I’m a big “Boogie On” and “Scents” fan.

Just not that good?

Go for it!
Then report back.

“Piper” just kicked in, which I’ve heard before. It’s not as good as probably the 14th best pre-hiatus version, but still enjoyable.

And the first two songs were highly unforgettable as well. :frowning:

I loved this show despite all the repeats. This show did not really kick off until LLama. Man it was hot that summer! I ate crab that day hopeing for a Walfredo!

Isn’t this the show where you HAD TO BE THERE~!!!@@!#!

And i was. 1st set was def better! Tomorrow the Picture comes back out!!!

07/25/99 Deer Creek, Noblesville, IN

Set I: Meat, My Friend My Friend> My Left Toe> Whipping Post, Makisupa Policeman, Saw it Again, Boogie On Reggae Woman, Cavern

Set II: Birds of a Feather> Walk Away, Run Like An Antelope, Suzy Greenberg, HYHU> Purple Rain> HYHU, You Enjoy Myself

Encore: Loving Cup

Sick sick sick! Love the I Wish teases in Suzy!

^
That “Birds -> Walk Away” is nasty, too!

How big of a bustout was that Whipping Post??

One of the biggest ever (in terms of length in between versions), to be sure.

There was quite a roar over the crowd. I guess Fishman did it Fishman style at Alpine in 96. But it had been a shit load of time ( i think 88) since a full on Whipping Post with Trey on guitar!

oh yeah, forgot about alpine '96

Have not realized how long it has been since I have heard Sleep. A nice breather.

*Very slow, no lyrics, largely unrecognizable until the end. ^Apparently they took turns jamming in pairs: Fish and Page, Trey and Mike, hi-hat and clavinet (Fish and Page again), bell and low guitar (Mike and Trey), crash cymbal and Rhodes (Fish and Page), footstomping (band and audience); also Magilla teases. **An Al Green cover, from his “Explores Your Mind” album. Also performed by Talking Heads. #With Son Seals and members of his band (guitar, trumpet, bass, and drums) and Fish dancing at the front of the stage; “Funky Bitch” is a Son Seals song); with “Bathtub Gin” teases.

Cool.
It’s definitely a “complete” show, including the first 3 tunes.
Tape yer sox on, dewd.
a

^that one is def. in my top 10. The Second set kills me every time.

I just got through the “Wading -> jam -> Lizards jam.”

What a sweet passage. The “Lizards” jam is slow, thick and goopy.

Thanks to the hub, I am able to relive my first trip to Deer Creek in very nice aud form.

That “Gumbo” is my all-time favorite “Gumbo.”

Yeah, I said it.
