Jolly Llamas opened. *“Happy Birthday to Fish two days ago.” **With Fish on vacuum.

The levels were a little different from most of the show recordings I’ve heard. The piano was almost equal with the guitar, and it’s very cool to be able to hear some of Page’s wonderful playing. His two handed work on Stash and Reba is incredible.

Damn, I love these guys for what they left behind. I really hope they can be as happy about it as I am.

^ What a great run! The only lowpoint was my nemesis, Dogs Stole things! Possibly my least favorite Phish original! My favorite Gin of 98 but you knew that already Neil. Enjoy!

04-15-92
Wednesday, April 15, 1992
Variety Arts Theatre, Los Angeles, CA

  Opening Act: Widespread Panic

Set I: The Oh Kee Pa Ceremony > Suzy Greenberg, Foam, Guelah Papyrus, Sparkle, Stash, Uncle Pen, Cavern, I Didn't Know, All Things Reconsidered, Runaway Jim

Set II: Chalk Dust Torture, You Enjoy Myself, Reba, The Landlady > NICU, Cold as Ice > Cracklin' Rosie > Cold as Ice, My Sweet One, Golgi Apparatus

Encore: Memories, Sweet Adeline, Rocky Top

Show Notes: Uncle Pen was played, according to Trey, "with all due respect to Bill Monroe." It was also explained at this show that All Things Reconsidered is a variation on National Public Radio's All Things Considered. YEM included a Sunshine of Your Love tease segment and the vocal jam centered on a "rolling" theme, including the quote "Rolling on the River" from Proud Mary. It also included quotes from the theme to "Rawhide." My Sweet One was announced by Trey as being written by the third greatest songwriter of all time while Fishman took a bow of recognition. Memories and Sweet Adeline were performed without microphones.

It definitely is one of the better ones I’ve heard, that be fo sho.

I just had a hard time getting into that first set. The “Wilson” and “Disease” were good, but nothing else really sticks out to me.

I really like the “Ghost > Sample,” though.

^ great transition

12-28-95 - Worcester, MA

The Real gin!

^ Uh,…No.

That was the next night. Nice try though.

No meat to this Piper, Tweezer seemed to fizzle. Nice outro to McGrupp, fine DWD. Overall just so-so. Probably won’t ever make it into high rotation.

Love that Ghost.
I like that show.
Pretty solid, IMO.
a

Me too, but I don’t like it quite as much as the one 2 days later.

7-19 is a show early in the U.S. tour that I seem to forget/overlook.

Huh.
