What was everyones last show?

Last show was Coventry. Last good show however:

My last show was Monday, August 9th, 2004.

I had no ticket; was miracled in the door.

Set II: All of These Dreams, Limb x Limb, Lifeboy, Crowd Control, Seven Below > Stash ->
NICU, Bug, Contact > Character Zero

Show Notes: A “Fluffhead” tease preceded “All of These Dreams.” Trey teased “Mary Had a
Little Lamb” in “Seven Below,” and the end of which he said a few words about his guitar
tech Brian. “Contact” had a jam on “Little Drummer Boy” near the end. Trey briefly
teased “Dave’s Energy Guide” in “Bowie.”

Although it’s a typical PH show (flubs, lyric flubs, etc…), it held special meaning as I knew that this was my last show. Didn’t really dance or boogie or anything. Just puffed, stood in the beer garden, and soaked it all in. Then, the couple that we were there with stubbed us down to about the 25th row off to the right, and got to experience the YEM->2001->YEM vocal mind fuck from right there. What an amazing way to say goodbye.

Almost like I came full circle. First show in 96 at Alpine, last show at Alpine and many in between. So yeah, that was my last show…until the next show.

IT

Didn’t want to see them in 2004. I don’t think I could have had fun knowing that I was seeing them for the last time.

Hey!! We have the same first and last show! Nice!

Alpine 96 was my first show too. But my last show was day two at Alpine 04. Why did you guys skip it?
My cousin, who also went to his first show 8-9-96, skipped day two as well. He went to Chicago to catch Dave Chapelle.

Saturday, June 26, 2004
Alpine Valley Music Theatre, East Troy, WI
Set I: Access Me, Scents and Subtle Sounds, Stash, The Moma Dance, The Divided Sky, Wilson -> Funky Bitch, Character Zero
Set II: Boogie On Reggae Woman -> Ghost -> Free, Friday -> Piper -> Harry Hood
Encore: Possum
Show Notes: This show marked the debut of “Access Me.” Trey and Mike rearranged their microphone stands after “Stash.”

It was all one big Phish Summer Tour Alpine Valley Weekend for me, although it being the last tour was a bummer. It was Jamie’s first shows, so that was cool. (The first night a nice young lady asked Jamie, “Did you bring your pole, or would you like to go phishing with me?”) There was a group of us, and we were camping at my uncle’s house about 30 minutes from Alpine Valley. The first night was incredible, imo. There isn’t one bad song. (83gangsta…now hold on. EDIT: Damnit, YEM! It was you again! With some other screename! I really do genuinely like the Roses. And now I see that you posted in the Hydrogen thread, and I was going to say that this was my first Hydrogen and original Mike’s Groove and it was so perfect. Any Phish is OK with me.) I heard some kid complaining about Anything But Me. He said, “Ugh. I hate their new stuff.” Lot’s of other good songs. For me it was the perfect blend of old Phish and new Phish. The second night didn’t seem as magical, but it was still very good. I was just getting through the gate as Access Me started. I was thrilled to hear that crazy Mike song from Undermind. As I look back at the setlist, I’m reminded that they are all really good songs that I was happy to hear. (Except Friday.) I just didn’t get enough sleep the night before, and I was worn out somehwere in the second set. By the time Friday ended I was sleeping in the grass. Jamie and I heard Piper as we walked to the lot. We heard Harry Hood and Possum as we drifted off to sleep in the car. I’d put Harry Hood and Possum in my dream setlist, and I regretted being too tired to enjoy my last Phish show. No worries. I get a do-over for that one now. Alpine 09.

^set 2 of 6.26 is the only thing I really come back to from that run, even though I liked 6.25 better at the time.

Piper is wicked

coventry was my last show

never/never/20never

3-6-09 is right around the corner though

About 4 months away, and for some of us the date of “last show” will change!

my last show was also never/never/never. But I have seen TAB a few times. A few in 04 and then a couple between then and now. Also, I saw trey and mike together with benevento russo…and I’ve seen Mike solo twice!

I had gotten to a point in 2004 when I realized that I was a phishead. I knew they were gone but I saw TAB all those times trying to catch a piece of what once was phish, but that didn’t happen. I was always disappointed by TAB until later in 06 when he started to get better. Mike Pretty much always ruled though. Never disappointed with him.

my first show will be Hampton 09!

It’s like the same thing as a Phish show

Solo Trey hasn’t really been any good since '02

sorry to be negative nancy, but most of the “jams” are complete wankery

I do agree on that level of thinking.

Last shows I saw were 6-19/6-20-04 SPAC what a great way to end it for me. Or so I thought at the time!

I saw Trey and Mike with the Duo at AllGood a couple of years ago, it was a smokin’ show. Definitely the most energy I have seen in a Trey show since the “breakup” aka “hiatus #2”.

I agree, I saw TAB 6 or 7 times and was always disappointed, save for the one show in winter 2001 from the Tower Theater…that was a pretty good one.

Hampton will be #35-38 for me, and I can’t remember being more excited about anything.

^ Did they add a 4th show at Hampton? ??? ??? ;D

^sorry, 36-38

12-31-03. My 31st show since 92. You all know what they played. It was a chaotic end to a very fun New Years run. It was Miami! South Beach! Like a fuck’n gangsta weez a throwin down wit Fibdy Sent at Opium Garden after 1st night! Boooooyyyyzzzzzzz!

Ugh. Coventry.
