When was that Hood?

I’ve started getting back into Phish recently and am trying to figure out the date of a certain version of Harry Hood.

All I can really offer to go on is that I am almost positive that Hood was finished in its completion and a distinct jam started up immediately afterwards. And it really was just an improvisational jam. It was not some instrumental tune that I simply didn’t recognize (and no, it wasn’t Tweezer Reprise either!). From what I remember, this jam was also in a major key and very likely in the same key as a Hood jam. It was mellow and beautiful.

My instincts tell me '95, for obvious reasons, but I suppose it could have taken place anywhere between '94-98 (although '96 and especially '98 seem unlikely).

I know this is a bit of a shot in the dark, but I figured I’d try.

Thanks!

Good grief.

I like the thread you started on week4paug much better…
a

yeah this is pretty bunk haha

I thought I remembered it from somewheres

Well, let us narrow it down.

I say it is between 1983-2000.

Or… could it be 2002-2004?

Dear Lord…

It sounds like from what he is describing it went “Hood -> Feel Good About Hood Ending -> Jam.”

Some “Hood’s” are not completed fully and don’t contain the “You can feel good, good, good about Hood” section, and those that do usually end after that. I don’t know of too many that trail off into a major key jam.

If I had to guess, it probably occurred in the 93-96 time frame, but who knows.

“Hood was finished in its completion and a distinct jam started up immediately afterwards.”

This fact could narrow it down quite a bit if we knew if it was the old, sudden ending to Hood, or the drawn out one that started in 95 or 96 of whenever that was.

February 30th 2008!
