Notes: This single-set performance was part of the 1st annual Doctor Badgely’s Music Festival that also featured My Morning Jacket, Alice Cooper, Megadeth, Jim Rose, and Pearl Jam. Runaway Jim featured guest appearances by Jim James playing on a bongo and Alice Cooper standing onstage with a python around his neck. Antelope was much longer than usual, with an atypical jam as the Jim Rose sideshow did all kinds of crazy shit onstage. The encore featured an enormous fireworks jam and display that Fish was quoted as saying “Shat on The Ball’s.”

God yeah. I was very very very lucky. I can’t take credit for being some kinda savvy music explorer and discovering them so early … my brother made me go & I didn’t even wanna. I’ve thanked him many times too! I hope they release some early shows on DVD someday. There’s gotta be footage.
