I wish I was going to that. The three nights in Chicago still have my wallet hurting, so I don’t think Im making NYC.

Columbus and Detroit for sure.

If I can swing it, Cinci as well.

Some UK shows would be nice.

I’d love to be going to Radio City to see them. Not happening though. I’ll be at Nashville, Birmingham, and Chattanooga.

I’m busting outta work @ 4 and Taking the LIRR from Farmingdale. I’ll try to get to a computer tommorrow and give you guys a report. If not , I’ll definitely have something to say Saturday.

i might be passing through on my way up to Bean town around that time.

maybe i’ll make this show.

We should just have this be the entire Spread fall tour thread.

I just found out about the rest of the tour dates, and there are a bunch in my area.

I’ll for sure be at teh Minneapolis show on 10.22, which is a Sunday, which is perfect for my schedule

And then the next Wednesday, 10.25, they are playing in Sioux Falls, S.D. I’ll definitely try to make that show too, although thats going to involve getting a day off work and missing a class --RELAXATION: I assume you’ll be at these shows too, we should meet up!

Just got my tickets for Mineapolis on 10.22. My seats are 7 rows up in the balcony!

Now I just have to get my 10.25 tickets for Sioux Falls

I’m pumped for a new Panic with Jimmy Herring!!

Hey Desmond, you should change the name of this thread to include all of fall tour.

I walked by the show tonight at Radio City and it was ROCKIN! You could hear it outside and I stood and listened for like 15 minutes (I was on my way to the train) Then some dude walked by and said he could get us in because he had connections, but then his wife didn’t want to go anymore so we didnt get to go. But I hung out with some dudes who had gotten kicked out of the show for a little and we heard Greta then into Driving Song. then headed to Grand Central. good times, i wish i could have caught them this week! after listening to that disc Will sent me, i’m gettin hooked.

All in all the shows were a blast. I got a little nervous when they came out and Jimmy proceeded to absolutely butcher the Pleas intro. But it was the first song, so ya gotta give em a little leeway.
And they quickly made up for it in the Imitation Leather>Rbirtha>Blackout segment. Particularly in Rebirtha. where the jam absolutely shined. I am a fan of Gmac, but must admit that their capabilities of jamming “outside the box” is a much more consistent possibility with Jimmy at the helm and this was quickly realized.

But then when John Keane came out things seemed to change a bit. I’m a fan of his and have seen him play with Panic, but I don’t know, it just didn’t work for me this time. It wasn’t necessarily the playing, but the sound. Jimmy seemed to get lost a bit in the mix at times, and any hope of hearing JB’s guitar became harder with each song. He might as well have been playing air guitar by tallboy.

The second set seemed to sound better to me, and my favorite portions of the weekend came in the forms of Wondering>BGF, and Solid Rock>Action man. Action man may be the best set closer they have, and I have loved this song back since before it had lyrics. But again, I couldve done without Keane. It seemed that when he was playing, the soundman was having a hard time handling all of the guitar on the stage. While its just my opinion, I think they should keep Holt and Keane off the stage while they have Jimmy on this tour. Keane wasn’t doing anything wrong, but you have a brand new attack dog on guitar, let him bite , ya know.

The encore wasn’t great, but all in all I’d say this show was above good, but not quite great. I think they will be great night in and night out a week from now when they have 4-5 shows under their belt.

Anyway, I wanted to get into Fri, but I’m being called away from the computer. I’ll try to jump on and throw some thoughts out there on that show a little later.
