WillB's Uploadin' Update Thread!

Well, I am now an Audio Liberation Activist over at Lossless Legs in anticipation of this Phish 1993 project.

I decided I had better try it out before I let everyone down over there.

So if anyone is interested in this, its available!

ahhhhhh

joyful soundz ;D

i don’t like this show

i love it

whoever hasn’t heard it please grab it, for your sake.

TEHDIT: just curious Will, what program did you use to upload it (make the tracker/torret file/etc)?..i’ve tried to get in that game in the past only to be unsuccessful.

I use generic ole bittorrent from www.bittorrent.com

From there Start > Make New Torrent.

Then it got complicated.

Had to hide in the LL chat room for a bit getting help.

http://www.shnflac.net/forum.php?action=viewtopic&topicid=15

PLEASE READ… THERE IS AN EXTRA STEP TO UPLOADING TO THIS SITE
((different from other torrent sites))

  1. Start by making the torrent with your usual torrent-making program (MakeTorrent, Torrentspy, ABC, and many other bittorrent clients)

  2. Make sure the annouce url is exactly as follows:

http://www.shnflac.net/announce.php

Be sure there are no blank spaces at the beginning or end of the announce url.

  1. Upload your torrent…

:::THIS IS THE EXTRA STEP:::
before you can seed you must click the Download link, and save the new downloaded torrent OVER your existing torrent, that you just made. Looks kinda like this:

Upload successful! The torrent has been added.

PID system active get your torrent with your PID
Download

That will be the new torrent you MUST use to seed your release!!
The torrent you download is revised with your PID attached, to identify yourself as a registered peer. Otherwise you will NOT be able to seed it. Making this mistake will register the torrent in the ‘dead torrents’ section, and will not be seen on the ‘active torrents’ page.

  1. Be sure to seed your torrent until a handful of seeds appear. An unseeded torrent with no completed transfers, will be removed.

Any other questions, don’t hesitate to ask myself or another staff member.

Definately one of my favorite shows…that Sneakin Salley just oozes funk…Page on that Clav around the 8-9 minute mark…mmmmm…Awesome Sweet Jane, which I may even prefer to the Halloween Version. And that 2001 > Tela > Piper, I mean, what can you say?

I take it this is the version I have…I really should copy down the sources I download.

Gov’t Mule anybody?

It’s the amazing power-trio that used to be!

I’ll be taking requests from anyone too.

I can only use stuff I have on my hard drive, or the many Phish DVDs I have archived.

So if anyone wants any Phish, just post here.

Next up when the Mule takes off will be the 11/14/95 Stash>Manteca>Stash>Dog Faced Boy>Stash SBD.

MUST HEAR!

Alright you Phish fiends… Here you go. LISTEN to this one, it’s a mind blower!

If you have never heard this, PLEASE do yourself a favor. The best ‘Stash’ ever. It should be labeled Stash>Manteca>Stash>Dog Faced Boy>Stash, but this is how I received it, so I left it alone.

ENJOY!

*- this disc set came to me about 6 years ago listed as a pre-FM, which seems accurate;
the Lemonwheel FM broadcasts were full of static through the weekend, so this must have come
from someone inside the radio shows who patched the broadcasts from the console.
Transfer info for this recording unavailable.

Beautiful tape of a beautiful thing.

I’m on both of the Phish shows

What, no Mule?

Feck you then brahhhh!!!

You don’t even know what your missin…

Dude I’m running short on hard drive space…need to get all this 72 Dead burned

I have to pick and choose what I download

Brahhhhhhhhhhhh!!!

You’re not uploading the stash very well, it’s you, me and another dude on the torrent. And you are the ONLY person with the show. Neither of us have ANY of it yet.

I realize this… I may have to pull it for the time being.

I messed around with some settings because it said I was behind a firewall, and now it doesn’t work…

I am teh suck.

(and my comment above was just in spite ;D )

Spite? really?

I would’ve guessed malice…

OK, we seem to be back up and running. I just needed to restart my client.

Fluffy, put a bucket under your chin, because your face is about to melt!

Dude…I got the Mule one (almost)…now seed me some Panic.

Thanks.

1966 Acid Test by the grateful dead first.

Then I’ll unleash the Panic vault ;D
