WWE wrestler and family slain!

My best friends next door neighbors a few years back had a situation kind of like this. I guess the father killed his son and then himself in the middle of the little bay that they live in. It almost seems worse that he didn’t kill his wife, as now she has to live with this memory forever.

It’s just horrible what professional wrestling is doing to our society anyway.

There was this fix-it guy who used to come into my work that a co-worker and I think looks like him. Weird.

After finding out more info i agree. I guess i was generalizing about the whole murder suicide phenomenon.

Horrible news.

I hate WWE, WWF, WWC, WCW, PMS, EMT, POT, and everything else.

ETC?

I knew I left something out!

Neil doesn’t hate pot.

this much I know.

he’s just in denial of his hazy past/

I am DEAD serious.

Of course I don’t hate pot.

By “POT,” I meant “plain old telephone.”

Yeah.

I heard on Mancow today that the kid also had needle marks in his arms. He had been given growth harmones for some time. Sad fucking shit man.

Yeah this is real sad. One things for sure, Vince McMahon is fucken scum. It seems like every year one of his performers dies. He’s already been investigated once for allegedly FORCING his Wrestlers to take 'roids and other drugs, but the Government couldnt make it stick. One things for sure, the business of Pro Wrestling is a destructive one. The guys who are smart enough, make a name for themself and get out as soon as they get the opportunity.

Picked this up from Bill Simmons’ chat yesterday. While reading the list of names, I continually said to myself, “he’s dead? wait he’s dead? him too?” Scary stuff. I haven’t watched wrastling in probably 15+ years, but had a friend who would let me know what happened to who on Raw the night before (before the Raw/Smackdown split) so many of the names are familiar. I think he smelled what the Rock was cooking.

I used to watch wrestling a lot but eventually I couldn’t take it anymore. It wasn’t the bad storylines because even with the bad stories there usually was some quality matches to even it out. Nowadays though Vince McMahon ONLY pushes the really bulked-up roidheads and as a result none of them can move or do even the slightest amount of wrestling movies and every match looked alike and every match was unwatchable.

Vince has done this for years now…he refuses to “push” any wrestler who isn’t ripped beyond belief so if a wrestler wants to be in the top card and they’re too small they almost have to take roids to be at the top. There’s a wrestler named Edge who was a cruiserweight when he first joined who has now bulked up a bit and his name was recently found in a raid of one of the many steroid companies out there. Edge knew he couldn’t be at the top unless he bulked up and he couldn’t do it without roids. And Vince claims to have a steroid policy but he’s only busted minor wrestlers under the policy while the usually muscleheads who are the top draws are left alone even though it’s blatantly obvious with some of them. Heck, even Vince himself took roids back in the day…

As for Benoit…it’s still hard to blame it solely on roids. There have been plenty of guys who roided like mad who never did anything close to this. My theory is that he flipped out and killed his wife (who he’s had trouble with in the past), then he had to decide what to do afterward. Then I think he rationalized that it wouldn’t be good for his son to grow up knowing that his Dad killed his Mom so he killed his son to “spare him” of it. Seriously I think that’s the ONLY way a father could kill his own kid like that. It’s just a guess but that’s how I feel.

As for giving his kid HGH, his kid actually had some condition called “Fragile X” that is a cause of retardation in kids. Supposedly drugs like HGH can help prevent or slow things down so the track marks on his kid may have been from that.

Either way, it’s a crazy story. I never expected this from Benoit…i’d been watching the guy for years.

LOL…Yeah, I’ve been holding off this joke for the last few days. Glad to see I’m not alone…

Is old Rod Piper still alive?

Maybe The Rock’s move to movies doesn’t look like such a bad career choice now.

GBI: Tests On Benoit Positive For Steroid, Xanax

DECATUR, Ga. – Georgia’s top medical examiner says pro wrestler Chris Benoit had the steroid testosterone and other drugs in his system when he killed his wife and son and then took his own life.

Dr. Kris Sperry also said the seven-year-old, Daniel Benoit, was sedated when he was killed, and that the mother also had prescription drugs in her system.

He said a test on Chris Benoit’s urine showed elevated levels of testosterone.

“This level of testosterone indicates that he had been using testosterone at least within some reasonably short period of time prior to the time that he died, depending on how it was injected, the form that it was used,” said Sperry.

But Sperry said the results do not show whether steroids were linked to the killings last month at the Benoits’ suburban Atlanta home.

Also found in Chris Benoit were the drugs Xanax and hydrocodone, according to a statement from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The GBI said Benoit was negative for blood alcohol.

The statement said Nancy Benoit had the anti-anxiety drug Xanax, and the painkillers hydrocodone and hydromporphone in her body.

Daniel had Xanax in his system. The GBI said it could not perform tests for steroids or human growth hormones on the son because of lack of adequate amount of urine.

The statement was released just before an afternoon news conference.

Authorities say Benoit killed his wife and son last month, then hanged himself on the cable of a weight machine.
