You know what's great with headphones on?

Listening to the low voice saying “bathtub gin” in the end section of the song, makes me smile every time

I think this is my favorite studio album, this or Junta. I love hearing how young Trey can sound with his vocals on the early releases. It sounds like a kid who has no idea what is in store for him in the next decade or so.

Exactly! You’re right, you really can hear the youth - it’s such a great listen.

i don’t know. this is the phish album i’ve listened to least. a lot of the songs on it are SOO much better live that i don’t even care to hear them in this fashion. and i’m not one of those anti-phish studio people, i love listening to phish studio albums, but lawnboy is just rough for me.

you know whats great with headphones on? lawn boy, having just smoked hash. ;D

I haven’t listened to any Phish with headphones on in awhile…I heard “that’s how you’re supposed to listen to music”…I always thought Lawn Boy was tight, although I haven’t seen my copy in quite some time…I may have to try this ‘hash’ you speak of…
what the hell does this do
yea, sorry for stating the obvious. i had an amazing experience listening to lawn boy on hash when i first really got into phish, such a deep appreciation for the music, coil and reba especially. of course you will have an amazing experience listening to any music on hash, but lawn boy/ phish in general was different.

my “what the hell does this do” was an attempt to play around with the many buttons above the text box, it wasn’t directed at anyone and I hope you didn’t think so!

in any event, I can’t decide if “Reba” or “Antelope” is the highlight of Lawn Boy

Reba for me.

Reba is my favorite sone straight from the CD. But I like antelope more if it’s live.

i’m listening to this album with headphones on right now.

Reba is awesome with the itunes visualizer.

yeah headphones are wicked for discovering all the little touches that get subtly infused into tracks in production.

that being said, listening to the Reba jam with headphones on, turning it up, and getting swallowed whole by whatever universe that comes from is the best:thumbup:
