Wait…why were the Bulls still playing last night? After seeing the celebration of the Heat beating the Celts, I thought they’d already won the title and the playoffs were over. What’s going on here?
^Mental advantage for Chicago? Perhaps. But aren’t they the #1 team who was best in basketball who basically owned the Heat all year? Would the pressure be on them instead? I’m not sure. You’re probably right if only because of the media hype on LeBron.
But is it a choke if the Heat lose? This is a team that got thrown together just this year…almost every time this happens, that team doesn’t win its first year (with those 08 Celtics as the exception).
Still, this playoffs is kind of becoming a revenge tour. Their first achilles heel was the Celtics who owned them most of the year and they whomped them. Their other was the Bulls. The Heat are definitely better though…Wade and LeBron have someone figured out a happy medium and both are playing great and yet neither has really become the alpha dog plus the defense has been a LOT better than I ever expected, especially from roleplayers like Joel Anthony. Can the Bulls D and their 1 legit scoring threat beat the Heat D and their 2.5 scoring threats? Like every Heat series so far, it’ll be fascinating. What fun. The conference finals is usually when NBA playoffs get GOOD.
