Uh Oh…watch out for them Heat.
I wonder if this is a carry over from that Perkins trade. The Celts biggest weapon against the Heat was their toughness…and that’s a little less so without Perk and you could see it. This was what I was wondering…would the Wade, Bron talent come through and could the 2nd bananas step up? Both happened. Can’t wait for game 2.
And wow…Grizzlies. They looked better than the Spurs first round and now they’re playing a team with worse defense. Could we possibly get the Marc Gasol vs Pau Gasol matchup in the West Finals!? Be still my heart.
Bulls/Hawks? Snoooorrreee. Bulls are gonna kill em. And Atlanta’s announcer-guy is beyond annoying. It’s like his boss told him “I want this crowd chanting 24/7!!” because after EVERY possession he has to yell “Let’s Go Hawks” or “DE-FENSE” to start up a chant by the crowd. If I was in that crowd, I’d be getting so annoyed.
well that sucked. I’m gonna go watch celebrity apprentice!
Bulls need to step up or there will be no title in Chicago this year…Not looking anything like Champs as of yet…
Miami is starting to gel, which is bad news for everyone else…
And Memphis is downright scary…
If they play like this ONE more time I would have to say we can kiss it goodbye. I can’t pinpoint the problem…Watson and Brewer have looked o.k. coming off the bench, but damn…the defense is non existant!
^If the Defense was not bad enough right now, lets look at Boozer being a Non-Factor on the Offensive end…

Anyway, this is what I kind of what I meant by needing to score points on the Bulls. You try to play an 85-85 game, you’re going to lose because Rose will make the plays at the end to win. You score more than 100, then the Bulls will likely be stuck at 90 and Rose is a non-factor.
Bit surprised that the Hawks scored that easily and for that long…kept looking for the inevitable Bulls run like they did every game against the Pacers and it wasn’t happening. Even funnier to give an extra stomach punch to Bulls fans when Rose hobbled right as the buzzer sounded. Looks like he just tweaked it though…he’ll be fine. (Though exactly why do these guys try to play this in-your-face defense when the other team is just trying to run out the clock is beyond me. It happens a lot in college too. I know some guys don’t have an off-switch but come on).
Great Dallas/LA game on late night. Lots of lead changes and the Mav weathered the Lakers storm in the 3rd. Kobe was sick but was mostly contained in the 4th. Hard to believe that Dirk and Kobe have never played against each other in the playoff until now.
I think a few things factored into the Bulls loss. Joe Johnson’s first three, second three, third three, fourth three, and fifth three. They ALL WENT IN!!
Ok ok obviously not as simple as that. But I hope the Hawks cool down a bit. Bulls have to be more physical and make more shots.
Yeah, I think Joe Johnson had as much to do with the Hawks winning as the Bulls defense did with them losing.
He played great. No denying that.

Seriously though, I wouldn’t expect the Hawks to be able to score that well against the Bulls again. They’re where they are because they’re inconsistent. Now if the Bulls support staff has another lackluster day…well…
And the Grizzlies finally looked like the Grizzlies from the regualr season last night. They’re human after all!
The fun ends tonight for these pesky Hawks. Please look like the MVP tonight and not Jamaal Crawfords Ho Derek. Wooo!
^Sadly, Rose’s defense has been a LIL suspect this year so the Crawford thing isn’t a surprise. But come on…it’s Jamal Crawford…you can’t get that worried.

Now THAT’S how I expected the series to look like. The Bulls get the Hawks to play their style, they keep the score low and the Hawks fall all over themselves because that’s what they do. Life is back to normal.
But Dallas…those old farts are smoking the Lakers so far. They weather every Lakers run and respond with their own. Dirk’s been a stud.
But it is Dallas and Dallas loves to choke. I wouldn’t be putting any nails in theLakes coffin yet. But get the Hammer ready!
