So yeah. That dude who wears number one came back tonight! If we can stay this hot then great things may happen.
that dunk were derrick rose blasted right down the center of the paint brought back memories of john starks dunk on olajuon -however you spell his name)
nice dunk
Hakeem Shakeem Moqueem
Worst 4th quarter ever! We gots to find some other scoring besides D or weze doomed!
i didn’t watch too closely as i was glued to the Wings, but to me it looked like defense, and more specifically transition D, was where the Hawks abused Chi tonight.
Go figure, another great game by Boozer, and another loss. It’s got to be tough for him, he has good games and the Bulls loose, but when he doesn’t show up, the Bulls win. Maybe just sit him and let Gibson run rough-shot on the Hawks! ![]()
Will someone please teach the Bulls the importance of closing out games!?! I only saw the second half, but for as much as it looked thel Hawks were owning the Bulls, I would look at the score, and they were only up like 4 or six points. That game was there for the taking, and then the last 8 minutes came, and the turnovers got out of hand.
So here we are, best of 3. Something tells me that the Bulls can take 2 out 3, but I would have loved to taken 4 in a row, closed out the series, and rested Rose and Boozer for the next round.
Yes, full use of emoticons in effect on this one!

D-Rose = 12-32 from the field. ![]()
Let’s get back home and get it together.
…and a side note. Can you believe that the Lakers were swept by the Mavs! ![]()
What a way for Zen Master Phil to go out.
Looks like the Mavs will be representing the West, as I don’t see OKC or Memphis getting past them.
They don’t seem to have a lot of plays at the end of games, do they? When every play is “clear out for Rose” then I guess not. Also, it’s probably not a good idea when your point guard shoots the ball that many times. I think he had close to 30 shots last night…that’s Arenas-Esque and no one wants that.
The defense was good last night up until the 4th. With the Bulls keeping the score in the 80’s that was right down their alley as they expected Rose would make a few baskets, the team D’s up and they win a close one by 5 or 6 points…it’s the formula they’ve had all year. But, hey, the Hawks played well…Josh Smith played VERY well.
And nice of Bennett Salvatore to once again remind us why he’s one of the worst in the business. I had no clue what he was doing on that foul but I don’t think it changed the game…the Hawks were scoring at will by that point.
And the Mavs…it’s not just them but Dirk who has been awesome these playoffs. Every time they need a shot, he provides it. He’s been excellent all year and is quite clutch. Those stories about Dallas being chokers is pretty weak anyway. They had the bad series against Golden State for sure but the Spurs just did that and no one calls them chokers. And in 2006, you could make very strong arguments about some bad officiating. Aside from that, they’ve basically lost to good teams and have had their team blown up and rebuilt about 100 times in the last ten years. Good to see Dirks getting it going again.
Don’t sleep on them Grizzlies. After seeing what they did against the Spurs and then later in game 3 to OKC, I wouldn’t sleep on them one bit. That’s a team that doesn’t know its limitations. What fun.
It was completely disrespectful way to foul a man like that…I have NO RESPECT for Bynum after that…
And you got to love his post game interview (he sounds like he is 12) where he basically said they were getting embarrassed so bad by a little guy, he just got frustrated…Bullshit, he was trying to hurt him…
If I was Stern, I would suspend him for the first 10 Games next season…
TONITE IS A MUST WIN BY THE BULLS, CANNOT GO BACK TO ATL DOWN!!!
Gotta think the bulls tonight, hopefully big. Don’t like the fact the hawks actually played with some heart the last game. Got one of those sinking feelings when I finally realized the Smith show was gonna out duel the Rose show.
^Gotta say I was shocked when I flipped back and saw the Hawks pulled within 1…the Bulls looked firmly in control of that game. Had the Hawks gotten more from their stud players, they might have stole it. But, of course, they’re the Hawks. What a weird team.
Is five games good enough, Commish?
And what’s with Barea and everyone wanting to clothesline him?..Artest tried it in game 2! I guess his head is right about arm’s length for these big guys. But yeah, in the heat of the game, I might understand it from Bynum, but not when you’re down by 30…that’s just being a sore loser at that point.
So here is the way I break it down so far. This title is Miami or Dallas’s to win or lose. If the Bulls do end up winning the chip then Derrick Rose will be themost deseved Finals MVP ever maybe. We just don’t have that number 2 guy that I was hoping Deng or Boozer might suddenly turn into in the playoffs. Every champion for the last decade has had that guy. During the Lakers 3 peat it was Kobe2 Shaq1. Duncan1 has had Ginobli/ Parker2. Chauncy had Rip. DWade1 had Shaq2. Garnett1 had Pierce2 or vice versa. Even Kobe needed Gasol to show up before the next 2 rings could be fitted. These Bulls right now are the Lakers without Gasol from 07. So there you have it. My long winded synopsis of why It will be miraculous to win it this year. If we do nobody will be happier than this kid. But it seems that hump to get over will be going out and getting that guy to complement Rose.
Finish them tonight boys!

Sweep the Leg
So, have we figured out if it’s LeBron1, Wade2 or the other way around? I still can’t figure it out.
And last night’s Celtics game…that is exactly why I was so high on Bron as MVP. I’ve seen him do that all year. Just at any moment the dude explodes, makes a number of sweet defensive plays on one end, then scores on the other, a quick block, solid D, back-to-back threes, then the huge steal-dunk (such a predictable pass by West that I saw it coming) and that game was DUN.
Don’t know why but I find myself pulling for the Heat. Part of it is I don’t like the Celts or Bulls. Part of it is I always cheered for the villain when I used to watch the WWF so that seems to be my thing…they’re the first “villain” team that the NBA has had in a while. Part of it because I just want to keep watching that team because they’re fascinating. Part of it is I’m kind of over “The Decision” and part of that is that I’m not sure I care about Cleveland fans being jerked around because they’re assholes to anyone from Detroit anyway…especially in those 07 and 08 series the Pistons played against them…wow, were they obnoxious. Part of it because I don’t mind players dictating where they go since they’re the draw. If they play the Grizzlies in the Finals, I’ll cheer Grizz but that’s looking less likely.
Alright Bulls…finish em’!
It Rose1 Deng3 Boozer3a
Lebron needs to not choke away another ring before I evaluate his team status.
Go Bulls
Man, this is the Boozer that we need for the rest of the post-season! Keep it up and we’ll be hosting the Heat on Sunday! ![]()
Well that’s that. 3a came through and the Bulls played their best all around game. So who’s next? Oh yeah. That team that NEEDS to win. All the pressure as always is on LBJ. Not a villian. Just an underachiever who’s hungry for rings. That right there is a huge mental advantage for Chicago. Smiegal James needs his precious!
Go Bulls!
