Your First Concert (Plus 1st and Last Phish song)

Gumbo might be my favorite Phish song to sing. So fun.

I think my first concert was Metalllica too, in 1996 too. I still can’t believe my parents let me go at age 12.

Axilla I—>Curtain (with(in the wrong key))

First show was Garbage opening for the Smashing Pumpkins back in '94… shortly there after was NIN… I wish that was my first show

First Phish song = Sample
Last Phish song = Farmhouse

Nothing too epic there.

Hank got a “Disease” and a “Hood” in his first Phish show, as did I.

That’s, like, totally sweet.

My first concert was Krokus, Wasp and Helix! LOL!!! 1984 I was 13. My 2nd was alot better IMO - Kiss and Queensryche in 1984.

My first Phish song was Chalk Dust @ 3/22/93
Last was Cutain @ Coventry

First Show: Joe Cocker w/ my Dad. around 1990
Awsome show.

First live Phish song: Theme From the Bottom @ 6/19/95

Last latest  : The Curtain

first show Skynard at the NewLondon sub base in 88
1st phish tune-Sweet Adoline
Last - The Curtain (with) duh

Funny…with all this “Curtain (With)” talk they’re actually playing it right now on LP.

1st Show- Page and Plant, second leg of 1995 tour, at the Fleet Center in Boston. 1st date with Uncle 'Sid as well.
1st Phish tune- Harpua at the Went, so really it’s Makisupa.
Last Phish tune- Slave. I refuse to call THAT Curtain a song.

what was supposed to be my first concert: Phish @ polaris 2000

what eventually was my first concert: String Cheese Incident 4/27/01 (also first time away from home w/o parents, first time eating l, first time eating boomers). i don’t like the band now but it was the greatest thing in the world when i was 16

All righty then, it’s an ancient history lesson you’d be looking for.

My first concert was kind of ambiguous. If you’re talking about the first time I heard a named band, it was actually at my senior prom in 1966. Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs of Wooly Bully fame played at our prom, and it was pretty cool.

My first regular concert was the following year when I got to hear jazz/blues guitarist Wes Montgomery. Definitely stimulated my interest in going to concerts to say the least.

YaMar was the first song I heard Phish play at the Ken Keasey Bozos on the Bus show at Darien Lakes in 97. I continue to know that I was unbelievably blessed to have had that as my first show.

The last song I heard was Scents and Subtle Sounds at the last regular arena show Phish played in Camden. Although Frankenstein was the last song of the night, I chose to leave on SASS, because like the band, I think I had had enough, and it just seemed appropriate.

Let’s back up here a minute Bill. What did Wes play? No Blues? I need that setlist!!

First concert: Bon Jovi w/ Cinderella opening (Slippery When Wet tour)
!Love that “hairband” phase of life!

1st Phish: My Friend, My Friend (Alpine '96)

Latest Phish: Sample in a Jar (Alpine '04)

First Concert: Spin Doctors–> I can’t believe I thought these guys were so cool back then.

First phish song: 7/23/99–> I was late for the opener, which was NICU I believe so the first live song I heard was Ya Mar.

Last Song Played that I heard: IT–> Good Times Bad Times

Don’t knock the Doctors!

That “Homebelly Groove” live album is pretty damn good.
I still listen to it.

Did he play “Lil Red Riding Hood”?
That is one of my favorite songs of all-time.

Along with “Stagger Lee” by Lloyd Price

Yeah at the time I loved the Spin Doctors, but my music taste progressed. I haven’t heard of the Homebelly Groove album. I might have to check it out. I guess the poppy songs sucked me in…You know like Pocket full of Kryptonite, Little Miss Can’t be Wrong, Two Princes…etc.

Yeah, lucky bugger. I got a Halley’s in my first show which was nice. Strangely I’ve seen Halley’s twice. I also got a rare Tela but was disappointed that they didn’t play it the same way as TMWSIY.

And I’m sorry…Spin Doctors…NOT cool. I think Phish folks like them cuz the singer had a beard and we’re naturally attracted to beards. Beards on musicians = talent.

Stevo

Loggins couldn’t be more in agreement with you.

7/18/03 is nothing to write home about.

^
That show has 5 songs that I could “do without,” as the kids say.

My first concert was Lollapalooza '92 @ Star Lake, PA. It was amazing & overwhelming to see so many bands that I loved in one day – Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Ministry, Ice Cube, Red Hot Chili Peppers… and also the Jim Rose Circus sideshow!

1st Phish song: Llama
Last Phish song (as of now…): Farmhouse

Excellent! ;D

Awesome!!! :o
