So, how was everybody’s year??
I think this year was one of my best yet. Even though I was lost a little creatively for the most part, it came together towards the end, and now I’m on way to becoming a Stand up comic.

This was also the year that I finally moved out of my parents house, actually dated someone for a decent amount of time. Langerado, moe.down, and Wakarusa were all awesome, and various NYC shows. But when all is said and done, the highlight of my hear was this…

well, my year started with a wild night that spanned the course of days back home with a road trip to Key West and a magical week reconnecting with the girl of my life that led to going back to Portland to a couple of months of insomnia, confusion and insanity before coming back home to see her again only to have it all disintegrate and explode in a burst of emotions almost immediately upon getting off the plane which led me hopeless back home with a disintegrating relationship and no way out of depression which led me to a couple of reckless and awesome road trips which temporarily balanced things out before eventually leading me back out west with my other best friend to an even more confusing and awkward living situation involving a family of missionaries and an old friend of ours which all culminated in a maniacal first acid-trip on the side of a coyote infested cliff and sending me even more confused back to Los Angeles before winter hit the Northwest and eventually back to South Florida with absolutely nothing happening in my life, not even a disintegrating relationship.

i guess this year’s been a hell of a ride…just a bit circular.

losing my job, my car, my apartment, all my possessions and then coming back clear eyed and focused
moving in with MOM after being moved out since I was 18

#1 October 1st…waking up and seeing that announcement. Best thing that’s happened in years.

#2 10,000 Lakes Festival/Langerado…first year I’ve ever seen two festivals, and two Phil performances in a year! Stunning. That man is so on his game.

#3 Next Gen Gaming…got an XBOX 360 and a PS3 in the last 365 days. I never dreamed that video games would get to this point back when I was playing Pacman non-stop on my Atari. Who would have thought that online gaming mattered?

#4 Youtube…the entertainment mecca. Any song or whatever that you want at any time. It’s showed me many a good night with such searches as Louis CK, Nothern Pikes: Girl With a Problem. and Disco Biscuits Apache.

#5 All my family and friends are in good health, and I consider you all amongst those friends. Really, this is the only one that matters. Have a happy new year all.

Getting divorced and buying my own house. Oh yeah, and that Kobe beef burger the other week.

Saw Phil Lesh for the first time.

Bought my first Phish tickets

switched from soil to hydro

got my first “real” job out of college

got my first apartment

moved in with a girl for the first time

got my first dog (got her last week, man she is awesome!)

Pretty good year!
